Special Person’s Night Bake Sale

The PTA will hold a bake sale during Grandparents and Special Persons Night on Monday, May 13 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the elementary school. Proceeds from the bake sale benefit Jacob's Angels Relay for Life Team, comprised of teachers, staff, students and friends from the Watervliet City School District. The PTA relies on your generous donations to make the bake sale a success, so please consider donating a baked good to the May 13 sale. Download and complete the donation form, and return it to your child’s teacher as soon as possible. Baked goods can be dropped off on Monday, May 13 during the day.

School Banking program teaches students about money management

Watervliet Elementary School is one of 70 schools locally that partner with Capital Communications Federal Credit Union (Cap Com) for its school banking program.

The Watervliet Elementary School PTA reminds parents that this program is a great hands-on way to teach children about banking and the importance of saving money. The school banking programs offers students the opportunity to bring deposits into school every Friday morning. If you would like more information about how your child can become a Cap Com member and begin saving money, visit Cap Com's website or have your child go to the Main Office for an informational packet.

PTA MEETINGS
To see PTA meeting minutes and treasurer reports, please check out the Meeting/Treasurer link to the right. PTA Meetings are held monthly on Tuesday nights of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. See the meetings link to the right for a list of PTA Meetings for the school year.

FUNDRAISING
The WES PTA would like to remind you that we continue to participate in the following programs that benefit the students: Price Chopper's Tools for Schools program, the Labels for Education program, the Box Tops for Education program, the Hannaford Helps Schools, the Colonie Center $chool Buck$ program (download flyer) and Target's Take Charge for Education program. With your continued support we hope to once again be a Top 100 award winner in the Price Chopper Tools for Schools program. Please continue to send in your Labels for Education labels and Box Tops labels! If you have any questions about the PTA fundraising opportunities please contact a PTA Board member. Information about the Fall Fundraiser will be posted shortly. Thank you for your continued support of our fundraising activities!
