Students at WES will celebrate Halloween on Oct. 31.
As a matter of safety:
Costumes which portray violence
and/or have any type of weaponry are not allowed.
Student faces should be fully visible. Do not send masks, hoods, or
make-up for your children.
Children should wear safe footwear. Sneakers are the best choice for the
day.
All costumes should be sent to school in a bag.
Teachers may be having classroom celebrations. Letters should have been sent home with information about these individual activities. PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN EXTRA TREATS WITH YOUR CHILD. TEACHERS WILL ONLY BE SERVING THE SNACKS THAT THEY HAVE ARRANGED.
Each classroom teacher has classroom helpers identified. In order to keep a safe atmosphere, these helpers will be the only parents allowed in the building as visitors during the day. Classroom helpers will have special name tags and will sign in at our front desk. Teachers will let their helpers know what time they should arrive at school.
We will hold our annual Halloween parade beginning around 1:30 p.m. and all families are invited to attend. The parade will travel around the bus loop. Families may view the parade from the grass island in front of the building. Again, as a matter of safety, we ask that adults not dress in costumes. This enables us to identify who is on school grounds.
The parade will be cancelled in the event of rain and/or poor weather conditions.
