Students, parents excel during annual reading initiative
May 9, 2012
Nearly 50 elementary students were recognized for their participation in the Parents as Reading Partners initiative in March. Students and parents committed to reading together daily for the entire month and recorded their time. The students and their parents could pick anything they wanted to read: books, newspapers, magazines, trivia questions, etc.
Top readers all received a book and other participants received a pin to mark their reading accomplishment.
