New online tool allow parents view academic progress
Oct. 3, 2011
On Oct. 3, the Watervliet City School
District launched a web-based communication tool allowing parents and
guardians to view their children’s academic profiles via the internet
anytime, anywhere. The district is currently piloting eSchoolPortal for
7th and 8th grade students. It is expected grades 9-12 will be added
later this school year.
Initially, parents and guardians will have access to
their child’s schedule, progress reports, report cards and
teacher’s grade books. In time, access to transcripts and attendance
information may also be available.
There is no cost to parents and guardians to use the system. To learn
more visit the
Parent
Portal website.
