Teachers, students produce video commercial for contest
Oct. 21, 2011
Teachers and students at the Watervliet
Junior-Senior High School have created a 30-second commercial hoping to
win a healthy challenge video contest.
Early in October, Mr. Birmingham began organizing efforts to enter
BlueShield of Northeastern New York’s Healthy Changes Everything video
contest. Mr. Birmingham wrote, directed and edited the spot, which stars
Ms. Rozell and Mr. Santiago together with about 30 Watervliet students.
Shooting took place over the course of two days. Natalie Spence and art
student Christina Falzo produced a poster used in the video.
Prizes range from $500 to $2,500 and winners may also see their video in
a future BlueShield of Northeastern New York commercial. Winners will be
announced Nov. 14.
The video is now posted on Youtube. Mr. Birmingham promises to post a
bloopers reel in the near future.
