Dec. 6, 2010
WVLT Channel 17 is airing a video interview
with Watervliet City School District Superintendent Dr. Paul Padalino
concerning the district’s proposed renovation project and Dec. 20 bond
vote.
The video is also available for viewing on
WVLT’s Youtube
channel.
Watervliet sixth grader Patrick Ethier conducted the interview with the
assistance of Charles Patricelli and Matt Ethier of the Watervliet
Housing Authority, which operates WVLT.
The district is seeking voter support for an $18.9 million facilities
improvement project that will have no effect
on local taxes. If approved by voters, the project
will be paid for by state building aid and Qualified School Construction
Bonds, which have been earmarked by the state for school renovations
only.
Two more public information meetings are planned for Thursday, Dec. 8
and Dec. 15 for those wishing to know more about the project. The
meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the administrative conference room at
the Watervliet Junior-Senior High School.
