Matthew Ethier sworn in

Scully elected board president

The Watervliet City School District Board of Education elected Mark Scully for a second term as president and Christine Chartrand for another term as vice-president during its 2012-13 organizational meeting Monday, July 2.

Mr. Scully is currently serving his third term on the board. Mrs. Chartrand is serving her second.

At Monday’s meeting new board member Matthew Ethier was sworn in for his first term. Mr. Ethier ran unopposed for the board, as did incumbent Jennifer Donovan, who is now serving her second three-year term. Mr. Ethier replaces longtime board member Frank McGrouty, who did not seek re-election this year.

The board also set its 2012-13 meeting schedule. The board will hold its regular monthly meetings on the following dates:
